Check out the Scoot hood, it has one, but it vents to the ABS and somewhere near the brakes...

Roof scopes are used for race cars that don't have air conditioning or opening windows...so don't do it.

roof scoops can be made functional, espeically if your car runs fairly hot and you dont got any a/c. im making one for my FC. check out the runracing green fd for a fd with one, its the only one im aware of which has one

roof scoops opperate as intake passages and or cooling for many rear and mid-rear engine race cars. FD is mid-front, no need for roof scooping.

I don't think it would look right with the double bubble roof.

They also act as a way to bring air into the cabin for rally cars. However, in the FD above, I seriously doubt it's functional.

it allows you to breath when your frog is partially under water.

but yeah i always thought only rally cars used this. i never use A/C in any car unless absolutely necessary and just have the windows down.

I've got a great idea: Let's take one of the most beautiful, timeless, and pure production car designs EVER, and stick a bunch of plastic **** all over it.

That seems to be the mindset of many RX-7 owners.

10 reasons to install a roof scoop on an FD (not in any particular order):

1. air induction for the two addition T72 turbos mounted in your storage bins
2. cool off 2000 watt amp
3. help channel air to F-16 wing stolen from an otherwise stock Honda Civic
4. Different place to purge from your nitrous bottles that arent even hooked up to the engine
5. Too cool the back of your leather seats on hot summer days when driving with the windows down because you removed the A/C from your car because you needed to use the vent locations to mount gauges for Exhaust Loudness, Tire Pressure, Motor Temp. for Single Windshield Wiper conversion, Electricity to the speaker you mounted in the stock air box that you play the BOV sound out of to make your non turbo FD sound like its a 745rwhp Daewoo Leganza
6. to make your car look gay
7. the green eclipse on The Fast & The Furious had one
8. mustangs have fake hood scoops
9. cool the ceiling mounted 10-outlet cigarette lighter power strip that you use to power the neon lights on your Type-R floor mats, shift ****, emergency brake, and the handle you pull up to make your seat move foreward and backward.
10. women love roof scoops

I love my job. Its so boring here
