Download AEM's EMS manual for the RX-7, its model number 1800. It has all the pins on the four connectors to the ECU labeled.

if you want a easy quick disconnect (engine removal) for dirt cheap look in junk yards.

Most cars have junction boxes usually by the fuses. They are huge and usually have a 10 mm bolt to attach them.

nissan 240's have a nice block connector. Easily enough for the ecu.

They are used for chasis harness (engine/rear)

mine went down to about half or less of original wires

sheilded wires usually don't go. They have a ground then insulation. The ends might need some attention but 90 pecent should be good.

I appologize if I missed this earlier in your thread, but what exactly did you use to wrap the harness? Did you just use high-temp electrical tape? If so, where did you get it?

Thanks!
Rob

BTW: Looks really nice and clean!!!

looks like a octupus

dry fit it if you can and combine simillarly routed lines.

i would recommend labeling with scotch tape wrapped around the actual wire no the connector. Had good luck with that and a perm marker.

I can give you a list of everything i kept...

And yes the wires will get taped togehter, but I also have to shorten the wires... I gave myself enough slack (1 foot) in order to run them the WAY I wanted and away from major heat sources.... like there are any of those in our engine bays

Keep in mind guys I took each wire out of the connector then reran wire... i did a continuency check on all "alike" leads and hopefully this works.. I plugged her in and forgot to ground the two engine bay connectors and the fans kicked on automatically... with the key off...

HMMMM this just came to mind... couldn't I just put a simple switch on that so the fans run when im not in it? Instead of doing the fan mod?
