rev problem

ok, been gone for two weeks, my car was not cranked the whole time, came back, cranked it, rough idle, revs to about 1500 rpms, does fine, than sounds like it loses about 50% power, but still revs, than back fires, smells rich, any ideas

HELP!

Might have had a leaky injector. Change pull your plugs out and let the rotor housings dry out. Install some new plugs and fire it up.

ok, i just took the UIM off, and when i took the throttle body off the UIM, i smelled gas strong, and as i proceeded, i completely removed the UIM, i was on the passenger side looking down, from the fire wall, to the radiator, there were 4 intake holes, in a straight line, the second one from the fire wall, had a good bit of oil in it, what does that mean?

any one?

Well, I can't answer that last question, but I can ask a few of my own. Do you have a boost gauge? If so, what kinda vacuum are you seeing at idle? Will it build boost?

Only one has oil? Kinda odd, but I doubt it has much to do with your problem. Really the only way oil normally gets deposited there would be from leaking out of the turboseals and getting sucked in unless maybe you had some really whacked out PCV problem or something. Is the gas in the car as old as its been sitting? My FD ran like **** when I got it with a 3-4 month old tank of bunk gas. As soon as it ran through a tank of the crap mixed with half 93 octane and then got filled almost fully with 94 ultra it ran like a top. In retrospect I'd suggest syphoning out all the gas and refilling with fresh high octane. I was probably lucky I never beat on my car very hard with the bad gas...
