1994 Car problems
Ok so i have an automatic 1994 and it struggles to turn on..i have to rev it and maitain it for a while then the car stays on..then once its on i try to put it into gear but the whole car turns off..what do i do..how do i know if i need a rebuild..it was just rebuilt not so long ago with at least 10k mi on the rebuilt

When in doubt, do a compression test. That will tell you for sure if the motor is the problem or not. Search, there are many how-to's and Youtube videos on how to do it.
If that's not it, it could be anything from the vacuum line to the MAP sensor is off, bad spark plugs, low fuel pressure, you name it.
It sounds like you're fairly new to all this, you may be best served taking the car to a rotary shop, there are quite a few in California.

You might want to try changing the spark plugs first before going to a shop. It can be done by taking only the elbow off.
Make sure you put OEM I believe NGK back in there and don't mix them up it takes bur9eqp and bur7eqp I believe the 7s go on the bottom of each rotor (leading or lower)and 9s top or trailing. Search on the forum its been years I could be off
I had a lot of issues with spark plugs fouling and made the car not idle. You can soak them in gas and clean them too if you know how but starting with new this time is best.
