I'm glad that someone brought up that it is supposed to be a homage to the original 1967 Mazda Cosmo, not a Porsche. They just use Porsche headlights because its the closest to the old look while updating to new lighting technology.
But for those that just can't get it into their damn thickheaded skulls...
THIS IS WHAT THEY WERE TRYING TO EMULATE:
AND HEY, GUESS WHAT?! THAT'S NOT A PORSCHE!

i am just glad that the RX7 is actually winning something. alot of the best motoring and all that have the 7 getting slaughtered on the touge and such (except for the blue d1 car). i thank amemiya for what he does, without them our cars would not be anywhere from thier inovations (since they pulled rotaries from the le mans because it kicked everythings ***). there really isnt anyone else inovating sevens you know that can kick *** and take names like this one. so yes, rant over

i think the car looks good. Amemiya-san is a true artist, and just like art, not everyone's going to like it. and i'm sure he doesnt design it for everyone. it's the best bug eyed look that i've seen on a FD. im not a big fan of the rear end, but that's ok. i like the exhaust design, but can imagine it doesnt create as much back pressure as a straight out exhaust system, but it looks cool none the less. thanks for the pictures, guys.

Its the king right now.

Actually I wouldnt be surprised if the internals of the turbos were already messed with seeign as how a lot of JDM 7 tuners had upgrades available for the twins liek knightsports and FEEd I think had one as well.

In the "Best Motoring" video I saw of the RE-Amemiya car it was an NA 3 Rotor that they were racing. It set the lap record at the track they were on and nearly lapped the last place car in their little 5 lap race. It was amazing. Made me wish I had an NA 3 Rotor RX7...
Every turbo RX7 I have seen in their videos has some sort of issues.

knightsports and garage alex are the only two on the popular market. Amemiya's philosophy has always been: big power: single turbo. That said, they do a lot of 'street legal' tuning - and the 'touge monster' is an example of that - simple, off the shelf parts, that keep your car re-registerable.
this is the 'touge monster': http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/retuden/...d_up_up_7.html
