RE-Amemiya 3-Rotor 650hp/200mph 2nd place race car in Turbo mag

Sorry, wasn't able to scan the magazine but below is a pic of the car. It's a T88 turbo Cosmo 20B with a Porsche Widebody kit (Porsche 997 hi/lo HID's). Wheels are 18x9.5/18x10.5. They just won 1st place and are currenty in 2nd overall for '06.

Oh sorry, it's RE-Amemiya's '06 body kit but the magazine refers to it as a Porche body kit and it uses Porche light kit. The smaller lights and blinkers are from a Mini Cooper.

That is very sweet, but I believe that RE widebody kit was made to reproduce the original Cosmo look, not a Porsche.

Ok, yes, the front has changed a little bit from their older version. Any rear shots to see what it looks like? The older version was kind of "odd" to say the least.

I'm not saying the porshe front looks good at all but the original kit looked very unique and kinda cool. This updated front makes it look more like a porshe.

The rear is weird. It has a Batmobile style centered large exhaust. Sorry, no pics though.

Why the hell give the RX7 the dammed look of a porsche. I hate that look. My compliments for the mechinical performance but I hate that look on our splendid 7s. Our car are a legend by their own means they don't need to copy now one.

Like Gto said, its not supposed to look like a porsche... Its supposed to be reminiscent of the old school Cosmo. However, its just a funny coincidence that Porsches and Cosmo front ends are so similar in style... I like it but I think the hood looks a little out of place.... Because everything else in the front is smooth and curvy... but the hood has so many vents that add too many lines.... I think it would look nicer with a stock looking hood or with 1 simple reverse vent...

Anyone have pictures of the older front fascia (that is similar to this one, with the amber turn signals)?

I hate any kit that attempts to make a car look like another make of car, i.e.: all of those "Ferrari" kits for Pontiac Fieros. Totally lame, and cheapens the car.

I also hate any FD bodykit that changes the rear tailights. They are the nicest, most distinctive design detail on the car, and should not be painted body color, covered, or generally screwed around with.
