RB Dual Tip - need documentation/writing

As stated on their website:
"All of these cat-back systems are emissions legal and meet the strict noise limits imposed by many law enforcement agencies."

Anyone have the documents/writing that shows that they are emissions legal and noise legal?

A cat back is not a part of your emissions system. It is a muffler. It is designed to keep your car quiet. Has nothing to do with emissions.

As far as noise, it probably reduces noise by a certain number of decibels. Lets say its 15db. So if you have 100 db coming from a precat and cat, you would get 85 db out the back. If you have a DP & MP, with 125 db out the mid pipe, the catback would put you at 110. Don't blame the catback for excessive noise if you have a midpipe or high flow cat.

Contact Racing Beat, they probably have a standard letter that they can send you. I assume this is because you got a citation for loud exhaust?

A lot of my friends are getting busted for parts lately. I'm planning to just keep a sheet of paper in my glove with all the EO#'s and whatnot that says my VISIBLE aftermarket parts are ok to have on my car, which are only an intake and exhaust as of now, soon to be intercooler. I also have a downpipe and ecu but they won't be able to see that. I already have an EO# for my intake, just need something for the racing beat now.

Your best option in obtaining the info you need is to do what rynberg said. Just contact the Manufacturer.

What kind of intake do you have that you were able to obtain an EO number for? HKS?

It's the M2 Carbon Fiber Intake but it uses K&N Filters. K&N has an EO# for 93-94 FD's.

LOL. Well that technically isn't legal because that particular EO is for the OEM replacement panel filter that fits into the stock airbox (not the cone filters used in the M2 box), but as long as it works!

It just has to defer the cops, IF i ever get pulled over and am asked to pop the hood ~knock on wood~. I'm pretty sure they won't have everything memorized about what goes under EO's and what doesn't.
