Rats Nest

I was told that the RX7 does not need the Rats Nest to run properly... something about making it a non-sequential.... Currently my RX7 is not getting the fuel it needs to start and run the car... so I have the intake manifold taken off but I don't want to mess with the rats nest ... cuz i dont know if i'd be able to put it back together correctly lol....but if im able to get rid of all of it how do I do that. (Im actually attempting to check my fuel injectors and fuel rail...do I have to remove the rats nest )

its not so bad if you look at the diagram. You do need to take it off to get to the fuel rails tho

Do you have a factory shop manual? I am putting an engine into my car right now. Had to have EVERYTHING off the old motor to put on the new one. The FSM was a BIG help.

take off the coils, then undo the three bolts, then take off the oil extender, take off the acv, then comes right out after you take off a few hoses and fuel lines

lol, yea, if you need help, i just did it so i can give you some advice while its fresh in my head. I really didn't think it was all that bad. Getting the fuel lines off is gay, getting the acv off is even gayer. but besides that, as long as you pull the whole rail out, not that bad, i wouldn't try to do it all while in the engine, thats for sure.

My advice if you are having a hard time working on it, is to read and reread the manual. Print out the section your working on, take it with you to do the work, and stop and read some more if you get hung up. It helps me a lot when I am working on something I haven't done alone before.
