rate coilover ease of install scale 1-10
hmmm didn't look that hard to me, but I've gotten into trouble that way before. Looks like you only need a couple of wrenches to me. Don't need a spring compressor since I would be changing out the whole assembly. Guess I'll take it somewhere and have them do it. Maybe I'll get them to install my unobtainium bushing kit at the same time...

I am not even sure I would rate it a 7.. it is not very hard I don't think. There is plenty of room to work, everything is right in front of you, and there are not too many pieces to remember to put back. The hardest part really is just breaking the damn bolts loose on the bottom of the shock and the A-arm in the front. Just go for it, don't be afraid to dig in.. it's the only way you can learn and build your confidence towards working on your 7 yourself.

i would rate mine at a 5. it took me around 2 hrs to do all 4. might be more difficult if you have some stubborn bolts. also when I am working on suspension, and other under car areas, I use some anti-seize on corrosion prone bolts/nuts (makes them easier to remove at a later date). i think this is a good idea, unless someone can give me a reason otherwise.

If its your first time and you're not wrench head then its about a 5-6 if you have the right tool. I do it the easy way and use a cheater pipe and a rubber mallet (what can I say I don't work out );P. So no need to struggle to get the bolts out since I had to do 2 cars FD&FC. Also disconnect the lower sway bar and let the suspension drop makes it a whole lot easier.
