Does anyone have the RACEONUSA carbon fiber rear hatch? I want to know how the fitment is. I have seen the vIS and Seibon rear hatches but I can't find anyone running the RACEONUSA brand rear hatch. If you have one or know someone who has one, please let me know how the fitment is.
Thanks,
Phil

This is kind of off topic, but an FYI about Raceonusa. I bought a Raceonusa highflex nose for my miata. Unpacked it, only to be very disappointed. The body line that matches up to the hood was not even close to being straight, mounting tabs for lights were missing, there were stress cracks in the fiberglass, but the worst was two very prominent lines on each side that were obviously from someone scabing pieces in the mold.
I immediately called Raceonusa, and emailed photos, to show the poor quality of the product, long story short, they have been doing nothing but giving me lip service, with no action. They will not return calls. As of today, it has been 9 days since I first notified them of my dissatisfaction with the product. The only thing they have offered is that I can ship it back, at my expense.

My advice is DO NOT buy from them. I have been dealing with a guy named Henry. I spoke to him on Wednesday, he was going to call me back Thursday morning, no call. I call late in the afternoon, the person I speak to says Henry has the day off. I leave a message for him to call me today, Friday. It is now almost 3:00pm my time, guess what... no call.
This is the quality of the product they sell, the first and last picture show this phantom body line, that does not exist on the Miata. The second picture the nose is being held flush against the fender, look at the huge gap at the top where the nose abuts the fender. Third photo, the nose is being held so that it touches both corners of the hood, it does not even come up to the height of the hood, not to mention the drop in the middle.

I have a Seibon carbon hatch. Although, I haven't mounted it on my car yet. It's in the corner of my shop awaiting the lexan to go in. Does anyone want to do a group-buy on some lexan???

Damn, I just bought one. It was 298.00 from Summit Racing and 99.00 for shipping. So in total with tax it was $400.

I started a thread for a "DRY CARBON FIBER OEM STYLE HATCH" in Shine's forum. All we need is 10 people to do it. It will be $500-$600 which is about the same for the hatches that fit like garbage. Here is the link:

Shine was asking for interest on a vacuum infused hatch in the door thread...

It may be a while though, as they will be doing FC doors and then FD doors first. You might post that you are interested in a FD hatch in this thread if you can wait.

I brought a carbon fiber hatch, from tommy? from a group buy a while back, fits pretty good, I also installed factory glass on it.
I noticed a few things:
1. When I slam my doors shut the hatch moves a bit,
2. I can actually lift the hatch up 1/8-1/4" when it's locked in place
3. Factory lifts make it near impossible to close without slamming it down, I actually have to apply a downward thrust to close it
I wonder if Shine can make a super stiff version, if it was pre-preg that would be awesome.
