Quick clutch line question
I have just finished up my Auto to 5 Speed conversion on my 93 FD with the help of lt1rx7 and his GF.
Can someone get some pics of the clutch line that goes from the master cylinder to the soft line. mine doesn't look right at all. Any pics would be helpful. the FSM is to small of print to really get an accurate bending of the pipes that I would like hence the actual car clutch line pics and how they are connected from the Master to the Slave.
Thanks,
Dan

This is depressing.... dang no body knows or can shed some light.
or just take some pics of how your clutch hard lines manouver around your brake booster and master cylinder to the soft line.
Like I said before. I have the Hard line to the slave set up correctly. It is then attatched to the soft line passing. The soft line brass tip fitting then rounds near the oil filter towards the brake lines. my last hard line will not connect the master cylinder to the soft line. the angle is wrong. How is this remedied. I could fix it if some pics were available.
The FSM is not specific on how to route them either. It just shows a diagram with them seperated. Mine do not line up like they do in the manual. I have 2 hard lines then the intermediate soft line. is there 3 lines, 2 hard and 1 soft or what am I missing here.

it's not rocket science...you need to get pressure from the master to the slave, you are working on a custom project; make it work.
maybe I'm not understanding the issue??

These are all stock clutch lines from a manual car. I thought they would route from the master to slave like the stock manual does with no problems since they are all manual parts... am I missing something. I think I may have to get a tube bender. I just thought I was missing a component. I figured in a auto to manual swap the clutch lines from a manual would just... bolt up since it is the same setup.
I would think so...but pulling it off a car, shipping it, etc. Its possible some of the hards lines got bent or lost their shape.
Do you have all the brakcets associated with the lines and have them in the correct place?

I only have the bracket for the mounting on the transmission and thats it. You are right they could have lost their shape. I didn't much think about that.

Do you or is there a pic that I can get a chinese blue print (real life copy) of it. If so that might get them to line up. I am all over the place with the lines, on top of the brake booster, under the brake booster, behind the brake booster..... why not just freaking go threw the brake booster..lol

Thanks dubulup. That worked out perfectly with some minor bending of the stock lines. I just had no idea how well the pipes would bend since they are 14 years old.

5 Speed swap now has 2 more stages to completion. Tranny and engine bolts realignment and Custom Drive shaft.

Sweet I appreciate all your help.
