question about simplified sequential diagram

I'm doing the simplified sequential setup and I was wondering where the orange line comming from the y-pipe goes. the one that used to go in that vacuum chamber thing. and also what do you do with the hoses going from the oil filler.
thanks,
Craig

11. The orange line that seems to go to nowhere goes to the upper intake manifold (it should be obvious, just thought I'd mention it before someone asked).

That's actually a typo. It's supposed to say lower intake manifold. It attaches right above the green, yellow, and red hoses on the side of the LIM (which then attaches to the inside section of the LIM where the pressure tank is located).

I was going to do this but the only color hose the auto shop had was black.

Not quite. Look at that line that goes to the pressure chamber that has a check valve. Notice how it attaches to a pipe on the inside of the LIM? Well, that pipe just passes through the LIM. SOOO, you connect the "unkown" orange hose to the corresponding nipple on the OUTSIDE of the LIM. Make sense? I can probably whip up a quick photochop if you need it.

Would someone be able to explain to me the advantage of this setup, or maybe a link.

Thanks

Really the only advantage is that it cleans up the rats-nest mess under the hood. Of course, most of that is just because most of the emissions stuff is removed. It's slightly easier to work on because of the lack of vacuum lines/solenoids (and it looks a little cleaner too).

Rob Robinette has a decent write up on it:
