Profec B and PFS PMS.
Ok guys, i need your help with this setup. It's the old style profec by the way.
Well i installed my profec two days ago. I installed it by taping into the wastegate line and pluging the other end of the wastegate. The results are: I get 12 psi till like transition and then 10 after. I used to get that way before when i had a problem with my boost loss, which turned out to be my vent learn on the PFS computer.
So i tried something else. I unpluged both pre-spool and wastegate solenoids, the ones behind pressure chamber. Results: 9 psi till the transition, no transition and then 12 psi and drops to 11 till redline.
I'm pretty sure i have no leaks, because without profec on just the pills and PFS, i used to get 12-10-13. And sometimes it would spike to like 14 or so, that's why i got profec.
So please guys, if anybody knows what my problem is or if i have set something wrong. The back of Profec is set for acuator type, no overboost. That unit that goes underhood, IN goes from turbo, and OUT from wastegate.
Thanks a lot

...the purple is one of the better electronic boost controllers, even if the fuel and timing tuning isn't the greatest.
Turn vent learn off and lower the vent value for 13psi. or set the sec for 12 psi and let it spike to 13...leaving all the fuel adjustments the same. The purple is pretty good about adding fuel too...I've spiked as high as 15psi with enough fuel for 10psi and still running strong.

I thought i fixed it when i unpluged wastegate solenoid and left the pre-control, but i still get perfect primary boost and then i loose 1 to 2 psi when 2nd turbo kicks in.
Any help?

Amel,
I forget... Have you put in a stock ECU to see what the boost pattern is? Not that I think it's the PMS, but you could at least rule it out. With the Profec, you'll be plenty safe for a few runs on the stock ECU to see what the pattern is like..
Just an idea..

might be expensive but try two of the Hallman's RX-Pro boost controllers
Damian (sp) uses these and has almost no transistion.
I use this Non-Seq and hold rock solid boost

yup same problem with me.
Justin, I don't remember but I think i did that once and i still got like 9 psi aftewrads. I can't take the PFS out now, because I kind of soldered the harness pretty good when i Accidentely broke one of the connectors. I'm affraid to touch it as it might brake the welds
What i did find out is that I can turn the 2 parts of the y-pipe easy. plus when i took it out, i could seperate it very easy. So I'm assuming that rubber gasket might be bad, therefore it's leaking or something. I have no idea. As soon as this rain stops i'll go and get new gasket and put it in, see if anything changes.
I remember that i use to have perfect 12-10-12 before it got cold. Remember i turned the vent learn on and everything got better. But when it got cold i couldn't keep it at 12. it was going over 14. That's why i got profec. Now I again have the damn problem by keeping the boost till redline.
