profec b and needle valve?

right now i have two needle valves controlling the boost on my car. i just got my profec b and am getting ready to install it. i thought i read somewhere that someone ran a profec b w/ the needle valve to control the pre-spool. can anyone confirm this or has anyone done this? if not, i guess i have to put the pill back in the vacuum line right?
my last question is about capping the hoses. i know that the hose coming off the wastegate needs to be capped. but what about the hoses directly under the wastegate solenoid. do these get capped as well? and does the two solenods (wastegate and pre-control) stay plugged in. thanks for the help

YOU CAN USE NEEDLE VALVE TO CONTROL PRIMARY BOOST WHEN YOU TEE THE VALVE INTO PRECONTROL LINE. REMOVE THE PILL OF COURSE. THE PROFEC B CONROLS SECONDARY BOOST WHEN INSTALLED PER INSTRUCTIONS. YOU MUST CAP WASTEGATE ACTUATOR AND ENGINE SOURCE ONLY. YOU CAN LEAVE THE SOLENOIDS PLUGGED IN AND VACUUM LINES ATTACHED. I JUST PUT A NEEDLE VALVE ON THE PRECONTROL HAVING ALREADY HAD THE PROFEC B. WORKS GOOD. I HAVE 12-8-12 PATTERN. WHEN ADJUSTING THE NEEDLE VALVE BE CAREFUL AND BE READY TO LET OFF THE THROTTLE. START WITH THE VALVE MOSTLY OPEN AND ADJUST SLOWLY.

IM IN SEQ. MODE, SO I CAN'T SAY FOR SURE. I,VE READ THAT PRECONTROL IS NOT USED IN SEQ. MODE SO THAT THAT SOLENOID IS NOT PLUGGED IN. THERE ARE NUMEROUS GOOD POST IN THE SEARCH FUNCTION. YOU CAN GO TO "DON,T BE A RIKKI" AND GET GOOD INFO.

I could be wrong, but I think the needle valve for the pre-spool should be almost completely closed to start with, and then opened slowly. This is per the rob robinette website.

You should eliminate all the needle valves, they are not necessary with the profec b. Hook the Profec up to the primary actuator and cap the rear nipple. Return the prespool actuator to stock, pill and all.

correct. start with it closed, then open it about an 1/8 turn after each run until the transition is "smooth". smooth meaning the shortest transition period without boost spikes.

when it is too far closed, and the secondary comes online, you will have to wait for the secondary to spool up. it won't hurt anything but it will not make your car as fast as it could be.

when it is too far open, the secondary will be spinning too fast when it comes online and will give boost spikes. this is bad!! not only for your motor, but also will put extra stress on your drivetrain.

adjust the valve until you find a happy medium.
