Profec B II / Does it help with boost response?
Does a boost controller really help with boost response? I am using the Power Fc to control boost right now but was curious to know if by having a Profec B II I could increase the reaction time of the turbos. I have rock solid boost right now and have no spike problems. I am currently running 99twins in the sequential mode.
I would think that the Greddy would react quicker than the stock solenoids, but would it be a noticeable difference?

Stay with the stock ones for now. If they did have that much better reaction time...I doubt you would still be able to tell.

so far the boost controller in my opinion sucks.Theres more boost lag and it seems like theres very little you can do about it.My advice to you is to have it professionally installed and tuned,Maybe you can get better results than what ive been getting thus far.

Something is wrong w/ yours, speeddemon. Do a search for the "correct" way to hook it up to a sequential system. Mine made a big difference versus the stock solenoids, FWIW.

I also noticed something strange today.I have the boost limit set to 12 psi.But as soon as I hit 8.5 psi the damn limiter cuts boost. What the hell? I read somewhere about some stupid glitch like that.Whats the deal?

Dont use the thing in psi mode, use kpa, and get used to thinking in metric. Search around, it's a known problem. BTW what duty cycle % are you using to get 12PSI? I find 30% gives me a reliable 10PSI, which is all i am willing to risk with the purple motor eater (saving for a PFC).
