Power Steering Removal Question
Hello, quick question. I’m running without power steering (long story) and was wondering what my options are as far as retaining AC. I know there are a lot of threads regarding this but what I’ve found was either loop the PS unit or remove both the AC and PS. Which id rather not do either. So my questions are, do they either make an idler pulley to take place of the PS pump? Or I could just cut off the PS portion of the PS/AC bracket and keep the AC but is there a belt size for that? Or so they make a bracket that gets rid of the PS and leaves a place just for the AC? Any help would be appreciated!

there are a couple ways to do it.....
you can remove the pump and run a belt over the idler pulley so the rib portion will ride on the smooth part
or
you can remove the lines, gut the pump and remove the reservoir so it acts a huge idler pulley
the way the ac/ps bracket is designed, you cant really cut the ps portion of it off without losing the idler pulley. option 1 does work. you may or may not get a small belt squeal from time to time though.
