ports and gears

I have two questions, did a search but couldn't find much on the questions that i have.

First off, how big of a port should be run to maximize air flow around 8,000 rpm and still be streetable? I was just looking through the Dyno sheet section, and saw that everyone's power dropped off significantly above 7,500 rpm. I know this is vague, but i'm just trying to learn stuff before i buy my first 7 and drop alot of money into stuff that won't make me happy.

Second, i've read that above 8,500 rpm, the stock internal gears (the fixed gears and the gears inside the rotor that they mesh with) start to deform when you get upwards of 8,000 rpm, and by 8,500 rpm you run the risk of damaging them severly. Has anyone had troubles with this, or is this just some bad information that i read. If people have had troubles with this happening, did you upgrade the gears or just not rev that high? and if you did upgrade, where did you get the gears?

Porting makes a big difference at RPMs but the main problem with making power at high RPM-8000+ is the restrictive manifold, intake and exhaust.

Do a search, there is a lot of machine work that should be done to run at high RPMS. There was a video on here not too long ago of an old IMSA car on the dyno, they ran it to 10500RPM-Peripheral port.
