please somebody help me boost spikes
Ok the car first
93 r1 mileage on engine unknown idles pretty well
stock turbos
stock ecu
racing beat down pipe
racing beat dual tip cat back
k and n drop in filter
air pump unhooked and capped off
silicone vacuum lines done before i got the car
please keep in mind i just got the car a month ago and have not enjoyed a day i have owned it yet
since i bought it so far i have
replaced turbos ( had 99 specs on it but they were trashed beyond repair)
fuel filter
spark plugs
spark plug wires
new exhaust manifold
all new exhaust gaskets
lots of water lines
but for the most part everything is back to stock
for the problem
the car boost spikes to fuel cut and if you get into the pedal more than very gently easing into it wont go above 5krpm.
i have not seen it go above 13 psi and smells like tons of fuel at idle. it has a boost guage.
I noticed the car ran much better when it was almost 90 degrees outside the other day but now its running like ****. on the hot day it was very smooth power that was noticable at 1 psi of boost and up. now until it hits 5 psi you dont even notice any change in power. and it comes in very roughly not smooth at all. i did notice oil from the bov line also and those lines are new and everything was cleaned in the system before i put it back on. can someone please point me in a direction as to what is going on here.
also noticed at a stop if i hold the gas pedal down and rev to about 2krpm and hold it there the rpm fluctuates a bit like something is making it go up and down and it wont stabilize.

Judging by your descriptions I'd look into fuel delivery problems as well as boost control.
To start, I'd double-check the lines running from the turbo to the wastegate and precontrol actuators. Make sure there isn't a pill in the line if there is a restrictor in the nipple on the compressor elbow. Then I'd disconnect the other hose on each actuator and replace it with a short section of silicone hose with a plug in the end. This should keep you from spiking your boost.
Have you unflooded the engine before? Look up the unflooding procedure and give that a go.

so my "pills" were part of the f nipple on the primary compressor housing. i drilled them out today and now the boost stays right at 8 across the board at wot. as far as the bogging down and crazy sounds it was making after noticing how much heat i could feel through the tranny tunnel i believe i have a clogged or melted cat. and i also noticed now that boost is under control that my bov is not working properly. it will continue to bypass air at 2-3 psi of boost

everything is running great now and love driving it but the real plan to getting it running well was to swap the engine out of it for another engine that is being rebuilt and get some higher numbers out of it. so thanks everyone for your help and ill let you know how the swap goes
