According to the factory brochure, a 1994 RX7 could be ordered with a six disc cd changer, the brake ducts on non R series US spec sevens are non-functioning, final drive in a US car is 4.10, and according to the EPA, gas mileage for 1994 sevens were as follows: 5sp: 17 city, 25 highway, auto: 18 city, 24 highway, although I average about 12-14 with mixed driving in a stock car. And the red leather interior was only availible in silver or white RX7s. Josh

My mistake, the numbers built in '91 make them the rarest.

Rx7s are capable of pulling 1g on skidpad in stock trim. C5 corvettes only pull .92g and z06 corvettes pull .99g.

If you put an aftermarket intake on your FD that has hardpipes you need to wrap your A/C lines with rubber hosing to prevent leaks.
Now that's something new. Do the hardpipes heat up so much that the lines for AC melt or something ?

I'm getting an Apexi intake with hardpipes and I would pretty much like to know that if possible.

Sorry for bringing the thread up, but it's a good thread anyway

Steering wheel is too big and is not adjustable. I personally find it hard to heel-toe downshift with my height of 6"2.

You get asked daily what kind of car it is.

Was there actually a 91 third gen?, I find that really hard to believe, and in no way possible.

The double bubble on the roof of the car is not for aerodynamics. It came from a concept 4 seater rx7 that had seats arranged in a diamond shape with a bubble for each person (maybe to help illustrate the seating arrangement, I forget). When the designers were asked to get of that project and onto what we know as the 3rd gen, they left the bubbles in the design for the 2 seater, hence the double bubble, or something like that.

*The plastic door sill covers are essentially a one use item. If you remove them, the tabs break. No exceptions.

*Almost the entire car can be disassembled with only four wrench sizes, pliers, a big hammer and about 2 lbs. of C4.

*The 13bREW thrust bearings and washer are identical as those used in the RX8 Renesis. They even share a part number
(different letter desgination) but are priced about 3 times as much.

*When someone shuts the hatch while I'm sitting in the car, my ears sometimes pop.

*I'm well into my 50's and I can still get in and out of this car without making wierd noises....most of the time. Ok....some of the time.

The design of the C5 Corvette (1997-2004) was directly influenced by the 3rd generation RX-7.
