Pillowball Bushings -- Great deal from Malloy Mazda (Oct. 20 - Oct. 31)
Since the demand was so high for a good deal on a set of 6 pillowball bushings from this thread (https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/pillowball-bushings-great-deal-malloy-mazda-now-june-30-a-424191/), I decided to call Ray Crowe again and start up the third "group buy" on the PBs.
The price went up a little to $315/set of 6 (you must order 6). I would also suggest that you guys order the 12 dust seals while youre at it. Mine were pretty worn. If you guys want to get in on this deal, call up the parts department (you don't necessarily need to talk to Ray Crowe, since he is usually up to his ears in work) and tell them that you want in on the 6 pillowball deal. You have from now until October 31st to get in on this deal. Just let them know that "Weili" (sounds like *****) from the RX7Club sent you.

That's a good deal - it's an afternoon job that will make a BIG difference in your car.
BTW, I HIGHLY recommend doing the dust boots. They're typically pretty heat baked and shot, and boots that don't seal well will cause the $300 worth of pillow ***** you just bought to fail prematurely.
Here's my writeup on installing the pillow ***** -

And, if anyone is willing to drive to Pensacola, FL I'd be happy to swap them out for you for a nominal fee .

Not sure of the number, but you do need 2 per bushing - that's 12 dust boots total. I'll check with Ray when I call tomorrow and get pricing/part number - I need it for my writeup anyhow!

Jim doesn't make one for the pillowballs. These are spherical bushings, and need to move through a range of motion to work. It's like a using a socket on a universal joint as opposed to no universal joint.
There's really no upgrade for these bushings, as they're metal on solid plastic bushings, there is no compliance.

Here's one question: What is the price of the mazda speed parts? I understand that they have less rubber in them and are somewhat stiffer. Do they have a longer/shorter lifespan? I track my car a few times a year, and wonder if it would be worth the added expense.

Do it! I think most cars need new pillow ***** by now.
And though I am too lazy to update my site, JimLab has shown us that the bushings are metal/plastic and not metal/metal as I originally thought.

Thanks for the info guys! Got mine ordered today. I may also replace my strut mounts at the same time - With my new eibach's/koni setup, I'll almost have an all new suspension.
