Ok I only got one so far cause of a full memory stick but i'll get more tomorrow when i empty it out...

If you want the story....
https://www.rx7club.com/ne-rx-7-forum-30/i-just-destroyed-my-diff-458498/

At least everything else is fine and since i'm doing it myself on my back in the garage i'm saving some $$...not as bad as i thought it would be. Removal in 2 stages took me about 4 hours.

More to come, stay tuned! lol

Local guy did that too, on the burnout/tire warmup pad at the track. He replaced with a Kaatz. He did it one year after blowing an engine in the same place (burnout/tire warmup pad).

And he wondered why I don't race (because it's too expensive!)

Those are some good close ups what camera is that. Ok now on topic what are your plans for replaceing it and it doesn't look like there are any savagable parts? Was your diff. making any noise prior to this happening?

Apparently i'm pretty good with that 1st/2nd shift, holding boost and making decent power...guess thats the last time i do that till i upgrade. What gets to me is that it was on the street with street tire! I have a diff brace and the solid nylong diff bushings!!! WTH??? I'm putting about 300 horses down, oh well its done!
I'm getting a stock replacement tomorrow...I wanted to get a t2 diff but I dont have time or $$ to get it rebuilt plus i needed a housing or at least the cover(i wasnt sure if there was any additional damage inside) so I decided to do the safe thing and get a stock fd unit. Sure i'm gonna have to back off quite a bit but i had to get the car back on the road quick!!!

I've seen people breaking diffs at the track and once on the street however they had single turbos putting down 400+...i'm shocked i destroyed mine like that i'm still on the stock twins and on less than 10 psi to boot!

Funny, I went to the drag strip and didnt drive as hard as i do on the street cause i didnt wanna chance breaking anything....one thins holds true, gotta pay to play!

Its a sony dsc-p32...thanx!

I'm waiting for a stocker for just to get me on the road again 'till i can afford a bulletproof unit.
I think the lsd unit itself is garbage but the ring and pinion or at least the ring gear seems in prefect shape. I might try to sell that or just use it for "research". lol
The diff did not gimme any clues or hints at all. It worked perfect! Even when i "launched it" that day. The tires chirped, there was the loud hammer on metal/gunshot boom and then silence...engine reved but no power transfer.
