If you are using a non-IE browser, it seems like the links aren't working. Use IE and they should work.

It is on a greddy manifold. The old T04 fit fine. It is lower than it looks. I was below the level of the engine when o took the pics. Also the turbo does need to have the housings rotated to line everything up properly. We'll find out later today if they fit, but i do not forsee any issues,

The turbo is a Turbonetics T70

I don't think it's going to fit
when I had the t66 with the greddy manifold it would hit the side of my engine bay at idle and that turbo is much bigger
you have to point the outlet perfectly straight up to even have a chance

The actual housings are not that/if any bigger than the old one. It is thicker front to rear but width is the same. We'll see.

What did you end up doing Yanni? I just put the engine in and tried to mount the turbo The exhaust side hits the fenderwall buldge.. Murphy strikes again. And we are talkin like almost 1-1 1/2 inches to go to get the holes of the flange lined up.

Did you change turbos, or manifolds? I like the manifold i have and would rather change turbos...again. Damn Turbonetics and there " yeah we have done tons with that combo"D'oh!! 2 years of waiting with that turbo just to get dissapointed

I'm getting ASCII. As for using IE, I'd choose not to see the pictures first, before I use that POS!

Aloha Dave!

Well it was the compressor housing that was hitting on mine and I didn't do anything I just raised the idle so the engine wouldn't shake as much and I put up with it hitting a tad bit (I couldn't really tell except for at low or bouncing idle)
It was also a pain to install the turbo in the car but doable.

I did switch to a smaller turbo now which gives me a lot more clearance! There's not much you really can do I guess. You would know more than me if it's alright to start bashing the frame of the car up until it fits.

Yanni

I thought of the fact that i could bang the tower to let it fit but there is no need to do that if everythiing is correct. Obviously the turbo and manifold combo is not.

Time to call around and see if anyone will take a trade in on a new slug. I don't really have an attatchment to the T70 as a unit. It was available and a good buy when i was talking to Majestic. About 1 1/2 years ago

It's never been run if anyone is intrested in it

RR:- "Edit...nevermind, pics work now, it sits too far out. I was thinking you meant too far in..."

As in hitting the LIM? I wish!

Thumbs up

Well did some thinking and digging around the "spare parts" box in the shop. I found my old turbine housing, inspected that. And atempted to fit it on the T70.

It fit very nicely. Tried to put it in the car and was pleasently suprised Fits like a glove. Mocked in everything else( IC Pipes, IC, etc..) Ran out of couplers though.D'oh!

Everything fits nicely. Now it all comes back out again and gets painted and powdercoated.

Here are a couple more shots with it in the car now. and manifolds DP etc.. fit on.

OK, here's what you do: Just cut the manifold piping that extends from the exhaust flange by 1 1/2" and re-weld it. then it'll be closer to the intake manifold, but will fit the turbo. OR, you can use the housing that you have on there now.
