Round tail lights real or not?

I just bought a set of round tail lights off this kid and was wondering how i know if they are real or just converted into japaneese spec tails.

i think the real ones have raised up (or out) plastic circles where the round sections of the interior of the light is. i'm not 100%, but i seem to remember that from a previous post. in any event, i'm pretty sure there is a difference in the lenses.

Yep. I have the '96+ JDM taillights, and if you look closely, the lens circles protrude just slightly, maybe a couple millimeters or so. With the mask and paint job, they will be flat.

The camera does not capture it well, you can see it a *little* better in person. The red has it also, but yeah it is really hard to see.

Sorry for the huge pic, but shrinking it causes it to lose what little detail there is. As I mentioned above, the lens of the circles on the '96+ JDM taillights protrudes maybe a few millimeters, and none of the pictures I took really capture it, however, it can be easily seen with the naked eye. Where I circled is the edge of the lens circle and the flash is reflected in it.
