PFC Rev Limiter question?
PFC Rev Limiter question?
Ive been wondering this since i got my car and have searched a few times but never found what im looking for.
Is it bad for the engine to bounce it off the rev limiter? I have only hit mine once on accident because i just feel like it has to be bad for the engine.

Since rev limit is enforced via fuel-cut, yes, it is generally considered not a good thing.
bouncing on the rev limiter is ok but not for extended periods (like biker guys like to do!)
sometimes in open track days or autox I let mine bounce on the limiter for a few secs instead of shifting up to then have to downshift again...

wow, i really didnt know that. Im kinda excited to hit it some day. Ive always been scared. I probably still will be too afraid to do it just because i dont want anything to happen out as some small improbability
