Peoples reactions after riding in your FD
My best experience is when one of my best friends is riding with me and we leave the gas station turning onto a straight road following another friend in his GSR. We could tell that he wanted to play so i waited till we got over the railroad tracks and i'm i second at low rpm. I slowly get into it at almost 3000 and i hear him gun it. I slowly pass him and as my exhaust is at his window i hit my secondarys and leave him. When he pulls up next to us, him and his passenger are rubbing there ears.
Then my best friend says "What's funny is that your vtec is louder than his" lol.

Last saturday going home from work.
At a stop light:
Minivan: yooo rev that ****!!! I wanna hear it!!!
Me: nah man, i dont beat on the car (lol in my mind)
(light turns green)
He waits for me to roll first, i roll and accelerate slow in 1st til about 3500rpm, 4000-4500, then punch it and i rocket foward like a madman, 7 grand shift to second to about 55mph and hit the brakes. Minivan is WAAYY back but as they come closer i can see the peoples faces through their windshield and they all have that kool aid smile like they won the lottery. IT was too funny lol
*im non seq btw, thats why i didnt bother punching it til like 4k rpm*

We get to a stop light and im thinkin i need to represent and shut this chick up I give it a couple raps on the gas and shes like sounds cute light goes green and I feather out my drop from around 6k all four get loose and it does the full lauch scwat Get second gear and all 20 lbs of boost come fluttering through my waistgate while tires are still a little unsure if they can grab yet bam now im in third and flying I have a split second to look over and see this chick pinned in the seat with the funniest face of uncertanty get into fourth and im still got here pinned and where doing around 120 and I let off. She give a sigh of relief smiles and says well i would have never expected that. we go to dinner back to her place and she shows me how she likes to ride wink wink, never saw her after that lol, but I think she had a new respect for at least some imports. Now I know its not a FD story but I look forward to having one of them later.
God, I love this thread. I gave a friend of mine a ride recently. I slowly took off in 1st then at around 3.5k I just guned it, shifted to second the car is trying to gain traction squirrling around even when the clutch is slipping. I shifted early at around 6k to third and let it coast. My friend is like "that is ******* awesome....its so ******* fast" I respond "Dude, its not as fast as it should be....my clutch is slipping" my friend's mouth just dropped. LOL gotta love the FD.

I remember when I had my FB (ported with full illegal exhaust) I was ripping around the corners, and my best friend refferred to my car as a "frikin fast death machiene made of tinfoil".... lmao i still remember it to this day

I've had my FD for a few months now,but haven't had too many people in the car,and if I did,I usually took it pretty easy..However,A friend of mine is obsessed with rx-7's and asked me to take him for a ride.He brought a can of soda with him as well,I told him that wasn't a very good idea,but he insisted that it would be fine.My FD is currently automatic,but it's very strong through 1st and 2nd gear..So I get to a light,I take it slowly through first gear,I see him go to take a sip of his drink,and then I punch it in 2nd..I look over and see him spill his drink all over himself while he is holding on to dear life being pushed back into the seat..I redlined all the way to 4th and let off..You should have seen his face...Needless to say,he won't be bringing a drink in my car again.
I've had girls constantly scream and yell stop. So I stop, then once they start trying to talk again I punch it to get them to shutup
One girl said she literally almost pissed her pants
Another girl heard the BOV and asked what it was so I did a basic run down of a turbo system and explained what it does, she actually understood it so I was happy. Then she told me she wanted to hear it again so there I was in 3rd gear giving it gas then letting of so I would get some laughs out of her. (She was my date at my prom).
Most of my guy friends always fight over who rides with me somewhere. Then when they do and I'm going through the gears they are silent. Stuck to the seat and taking it all in.
One of my friends when we were on the freeway (going kinda fast) asked if I had one of my techno cd's. When I told him I did he immediately put it in and I asked "why"? He said because "It feels like we are in Need For Speed Underground". I started laughing my *** off because he is a country guy who you would not see listening to techno. So he puts in that cd every time he cruises with me.
I had a passenger when I was racing one time and started laughing when we were beating him. I was like "pretty funny hunh" he said "Im laughing because it helps to suppress the thought that I might die!" I finished the race and immediately pulled over to laugh.
I love when people ride with me because I get to see people get huge smiles on their face. Or major cries to stop.

Took a girl for a drive, she started screaming, and tried to get out haha. Took a friend's brother for a drive "Why is this car so fast!? I love it!" Whenever I go driving with my friend he always says "There's no F**KN point to put my foot down... i'm going to to be anywhere near you" Hahaha... I love my FD
A good friend of mine (female) just laughs hysterically every time i go WOT. she says that the feeling of being pushed back in the seat by unknown forces causes her to laugh uncontrollably.
My sister gave me the best response. When I first got my 7 the red paint job had been pretty neglected and lost a lot of its luster. My sister sees it and the first words out of her mouth are "Thats cool, but it looks kinda like a piece of ****." Somewhat disturbed by her words, I coaxed her into going for a short ride. Took out the 7 and romped it on what had to have been maybe an 1/8 mile of road. She went from having a grin on her face to a deer in headlights look. Didnt say a word the whole time, and just gripped the seat and the door handle the whole time. Once home she got out and said "I want one."
