The first time i drove my FD by myself i thought to myself "this thing is only a 1.3 ltr cant be tooo fast",As i made a left out of my shop i pulled up to a light and saw tht there was no one in the lanes in front of me on a fairly long stretch of road, as the light turned green i floored it out of the light pinning me back into my seat and me snapping my neck back as i accelerated to 85 in a blink of an eye. That day i learned never to doubt my triangles haha

My favorite reaction of another person might have to be my little sister. I was driving her around the block to her friends house, she is 6.On a regular basis she would tell me "jo jo your car is slowww"Just to push my buttons. i pulled out my driveway and made a right on to my street in first gear and floored it for a split second and she got pinned into her seat so fast screaming "woahhh jo jo car is fast!"

Everyone that has gone for a chew in my 7 is usually speechless.
There is a young guy that walks past my place every day from school that just drools over it, well I happen to know his dad a little so I took the 7 up to his place. He was out working on something seen me pulling in and just dropped his tools wide eyed ect. So we talked cars for a bit (his dad has some very nice old muscle 57 Chevy tubbed out supercharged 427, ready for the strip as well as a 50's merc truck ). I was impressed that he even knew what my car was lol.
Well I offered to take his son for a rip in the car. Got to the highway and did the usual 1st to 3rd hard pull, as well as bury the speedo (only goes to 180km/h) all he could say was "this is so sweet! so sweet!" he said nothing else until we got back to his place. Then he begged his old man to go for a ride. He caved and jumped in (remember he has a 427 that is tricked to the nuts) did the same thing 1st - 3rd he just about ripped the handle off trying to hold on. Once we got to speed he looked over at me and said "how big is the engine in this?!" So I explained that it was a little over 80 cubes he just shook his head and said "holy $hit I want one of these how much did you pay? LOL
Other then that I get a lot of "can you rev it to 8k again?" and "wow this is trippy sitting on this side I feel like I should be driving"

Well most of the chicks always say "hmm so what car is this" i also get "how do i open the door."
The they look around and say " your car is kinda small cant really do much in it" i just laugh. I love when they also say " alex make it go pishhhhh" All the guys just get pissed because i dont have a handle so they can grab onto. Everybody ask me dude let me drive your car im kinda like hmmm ok but you cant let it stall and you can over rev it to catch the gear nobody has passed the test. damn i didnt either my first test drive.

Ehem...

MAN LAW!!!

My FD has been in storage (and the paint shop) for the past year while I was overseas and in training... I'll be picking her up from the bodyshop day after though, I can't wait!

I'll post the reaction of a female (gearhead) friend of mine, and her little brother who's been drooling over my car, though after I give them rides ^_^

Yes it does, had a guy rip mine off at any auto-x when the rear end got a little squirly. If it wouldn't look so trashy I would just pull the damn thing out altogether so people wouldn't be tempted to use it haha.

Most reactions tend to be the same, people tense up and get noticeably nervous, but want it to happen again after it's over with haha. Surprisingly enough the one girl I expected to flip out kept her composure really well even though it got a bit sideways unexpectedly.

The best was when I took my Grandma for a ride. I warned her that the car was fast but as my mom pointed out, she probably thought she'd been in a fast sports car but really never had. Getting on the highway I goosed it in 2nd gear and before I even hit 10psi she was flipping out, so badly I thought I might have given her a heart attack. So I let off, made sure she was alright, and then eased it up to highway speeds lol. Once she regained some composure, and stopped insisting that I sell the car because it was too fast (it's not THAT fast), she informed me that it was like being in a plane taking off . I can see that, between the woosh of the GT35R and getting shoved back in the seat, seems like a reasonable comparison. I'll never make that mistake again though, for a moment I was really concerned I might have scared her to death, literally...

It started out with "man is that thing ever gonna run?"

Then from my sister, as the secondary kicks in: "WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

My dad refuses to ride with me, and all my friends cant get enough

I got another one more recently too. After taking a teenager for a ride at an autox he jumps out of the car and yells:

"Who needs a ******* rollercoaster when you have an RX7!!!!"

After my dad retired he bought a few trucks and bacame an "Amish Taxi-driver". One of the local amish boys left the clan and came to live with my dad. So, me being me, I had to break him into the "English" way right. Gave him the ride of his life on some back PA farm roads. When we got back, all he could say was "that's one fast buggy (while still shaking)

My 2 favorite where.
1: First one was a girl that loved cars alot.
Her: "So can we go have sex on the car now?"
Me: "Well ok... Long as we stay away from the headlight covers."
2: On a road trip with a friend
Him: "Dude did we just get 15mpg highway in this car??"
Me: "Yep"
Him: "Damn thats the same as my tahoe"

Hahahaha. Everytime somebody gets in my car this happens, even if they've been in it before.

Ok ... this whole... how do i get in ... takes me 3 times to shut the door and how do i get out thing is true!!!.. even in germany ....

Had this girl .... picked her up with my rx7 ... went for a ride... an there was this new BMW M3 driving hard in front of us... well... traffic light shining red... i pull up next to him... he is reving his engine... and im like..."why the hell is he doing that... idiot ... bad manners ^^ " .... and shes like... well maybe hes faster than you and he tries to show it to ya... well at that point i got pissed ( btw. usually i never race if theres someone else in the car) .... so i thought... oh really? the traffic light on the other side went green so i knew it would be about 4 sec. until my trafficlight would turn green 2 so i hit the throttle... stayed on the lounch control and let of the second the trafficlight went green... I smoked the m3 and that bi*** sitting next to me was speechless... she was so impressed... never called her again after that night just because she thaught an M3 would be faster than my rx7 ...
