I was very late to doctor's appointment today and my dad had to come with me so he could drop me off and drive the RX7 back to the garage (unwillingly of course).

Reactions along the way:
First reaction: "Our company truck is more comfortable then this"
Second reaction: "Drive properly don't annoy me"
Third reaction: "I said drive properly, do whatever the hell you're doing when I'm not in the car"
Fourth reaction iow attempt to reason: "What difference is it going to make if you arrive 5 mins before"
Fifth reaction: "I'm gonna get out and then you'll see (as in I'll be late and no one to drive my car back), and inside I'm like yeah dad as if you would jump out of a moving car lol.
Sixth and every other reaction after that were just some pissed off looks every once in a while.

It was also a funny sight to see my dad leave in a red rx7 with hks muffler I was desperate though and I'm sure he hit every pothole on the road, on the way back.

I took one of the scout boys out for a door to door fundraiser this morning.

Now they are all fighting over who gets to go with me next month.

My mom ripped the passenger door handle out of it's place when I boosted it, trying to hold on to something

I've taken a lot of people for rides in my FD at the track but the funniest one was the one that broke my door handle. Of all the ones that rode in my FD, it was a little girl that broke the door handle and her response was, I don't know I just held on.

Every other person who rides in my car always asks me if the smell of gas ever bothers me... I think I must be immune to it now

I always tell them its 1.3 liters and 80 Cubic Inches most people cant believe it.
I took a friend for a ride the other day & we got up to 155. He said "Holy **** dude, I rode my buddys GSXR the other day & was scared to take it past 150. " He said "The last time I can remember going 150 in a car was back in the early 90's in my friends Trans Am & it was scary cause the Trans Am didnt feel as stable as your 7, the Trans Am felt like it was floating."
But most of those older performance cars has that floating feeling effect with them anyways.
Where as the 7 just feels solid as a rock, even @ speed. specially if you open the sun roof, it acts like an extra wing forcing the car down to the ground ..

I suppose ALOT of people have that reaction, the guys I took for a ride in my car also have that desperate look in their face "WTF happened just now?".

Once, I had a good pal - but he was always talking the **** about his new Toyota Corolla (no, not the top spec- version with alot HP --> but he got himself all the stickers and **** so it would look like it...).
Then after getting sick of his bla, bla, "you know my Toyota can beat anything" (behaving like a racer, Iketani/Initial-D LOL), I was like "hey, I got another car too, wanna get a ride in it?".
Of course he wanted to know what I got, drooling about how it looks but would be slow as hell - it's only the 1.3 L -
I gave him the full 1st to 3rd gear pull almost spinning the tires each time.

Since then, and that look , I have a friend less...

Last night (yesterday) I was getting my other FD out (Black --> track only use intended) to get some miles/km on it for proper break-in.
After some test driving and adjusting of the PowerFC (still only vacuum...), I let my Dad jump in my car for a test drive as passenger.

You know what happened next?

He broke the "oh **** handle".... and then looked at me: Is this supposed to be like that? WTF!

Damn passenger door handles, cheap build - expensive stuff.

Laters
