Over heating problems with FMIC??

Does anyone have problems with their FMIC? ive talked to one guy that said he had to gut his thermostat and some other stuff when the temperature gets hot outside. Anyone else have this problem? should i simply stick with a stock mount?

Depends, what kind of racing will you be doing? autocross? drag-only? Drag = fmic, autocross = smic. Also if this is your DD and you encounter some traffic now and then DEFINITELY a stock mount. Although, make a search. Usually getting a fmic comes with a kit to reposition the radiator to have it work efficiently with the fmic. IMO, I suggest getting the rotary extreme v-mount kit. the radiator is angled along the bottom half of the opening and the vmount is on top of course. It works very well and looks nice =).

Sounds like you got mad from Barban . Just save up for a v-mount man. You can't be cheap with a FD anyway. A v-mount is like a fmi and a smic combined lol. The reason why it is so expensive is because you're paying for a radiator AND an intercooler along with its hoses. The set-up is enclosed so whatever doesnt hit the radiator goes to the intercooler and vice versa .
