Question Options for upgrading the popups?

Ive been searching for better lighting while still keeping the pop up look but Ive only found a limited amount of solutions. Here are three that Ive found:

WiseSport/Ebay clear lenses:

I currently have these and they are better but they are definitely for RHD and I had to take out the HIDs I had because they threw blinding light around.

Evo-r:

These looked really promising but I asked and its more of a do it your self type of deal. Its just a couple parts and you have to figure out the rest. Not what im really looking for.

AF Engineering?:

I like these but dont know if they are still being made. I just emailed about them so Ill find out. They look solid and I dont mind the openish look of them. HIDs are way too expensive for what I want though.

So what else is out there for popups? please help me

Knightsports Headlights. Very expensive and I was told they are discontinued. I can get you a set with less than 100 miles for $1000.

I think I have the lights they sell on rx7club. They seem just ok. When I got mine, one of the ballasts was busted and it took me forever to get another one sent to me. Unfortunately, it was a different size ballast. I don't know if I would recommend these. I think this is just a set someone put together with ebay lenses. Its still an ok deal since they are HIDs though. If I could do it over again, I would get the e-spec lenses from corksport. This whole thing with the ballasts really turned me of.

What I would give if someone made a "turnkey" kit that maintained the pop-up feature, HID projector lense, that essentially gave the same lighting and cutoff as most new cars today (like my RX8). It just isn't available as far as I know??

I've got pictures saved from the Pictures thread on here of a 99 spec converted gunmetal FD. It has projectors in it's popups with HIDs and has a beautiful cut off. I'm pretty sure it's a custom fab. The popups are slightly sleepy. and IIRC correctly, it looked like a much smaller unit than the knightsports.

many have tried, or started threads that went on for a year or more, but no one has pulled it off yet as a kit as far as I know!
