Is it ok to powder coat the compressor housing on a turbo?
Just wondering, about to send some stuff off to get powder coated

Just don't get the inside of the compressor housing powdercoated - just the outside that you see. It actually works really well and holds up well.

Also, make sure all the female threads on the Housing (specially the Primary Housing) get taped off well, otherwise, you'll have a hard time attaching all the components back on as the coating will increase the thread I.D.

so should i ceramic coat the hot side and powder coat the compressor, or ceramic coat both... im guessing that this is pretty expensive stuff....
