oil metering pump/squirter help!

I took off my fuel rails to service the injectors and noticed the plastic looking tube that connects to the omp was very loose. it will stay on the fitting kinda snug but not very secure.

my question is, what can i use to secure it on the fitting so it doesn't come loose? I don't think I can zip tie it as it's plastic and seems very brittle.

thanks.

Replace them, they are less than $30 each from Malloy.

looking at the lines, I don't think I'll be able to install these myself...is there anyway to repair the loose connection? if i use a silicone vacuum hose over the existing plastic hose and tighten the connection with a zip tie, would that work?

NO. For starters, oil would degrade silicon line in short order. Your engine will be F*#ked if the OMP supply isn't maintained.

You can use Viton though ... But silicone definitely won't last heh. It'll swell and get nasty.

how much oil goes through these lines anyway? it's not a constant supply of oil right? I know it's ghetto but i am thinking of ways to mickey-mouse the job as it'll be too difficult to replace the actual lines.

Thanks for the info...i did some search but with no luck...are there pictorial installations guides to remove the stock OMP lines? currently, i removed everything that's needed to get the fuel rails out...and i am tired of wrenching haha. i hope it's not too involved to remove these...
