Some amount of oil in the intake track is normal. If it's excessive, then your turbos may be on their way out.

Check to make sure you haven't overfilled your engine oil.

I don't know if there have been any "real life" failures directly linked to the overfilling of oil. Most cars vent their crankcase back into their intakes. The FD is no different. If you overfill the oil, the crankcase venting will push excess oil back through the intake and it will attempt to burn it. Not much of it will burn with the combustion cycle and you'll have oil dripping through the exhaust flow (and the car smoking insanely).

The other issue is that with more oil in the system, you can expose leaks which might not get exposed due to the increased amount of oil running through the system.

It's easy.
Go to a couple of local SCCA sanctioned solo events (autocrosses). In my area they only cost $30 if your not an SCCA member. They're fun and you'll probably learn something. If nothing else it's a great place to watch some awsome cars do what they were designed to do. Then just attach a copy of your results from the local club website to the MAZDAMOTORSPORTS application.
I guarantee you'll get back the entry fees...probably in the first year. You will NOT find a cheaper source for parts.
