Oil in Intercooler pipes normal?

Is it normal to have oil in the intercooler pipes/intercooler? I've heard before that it was. But how much is "normal"?

Your going to have some oil in your intercooler pipes without a catch can. I would say normal is no puddles collecting in beds.

Yes but only to a certain extent. If there is a lot of oil in there then your turbos are blowing too much oil and it might be time for new ones or rebuilds.

what does a catch can have to do with it? Just normal wear of the turbos and the seals inside them produces oil. I say if you turn over your IC and it pours out, that is tooooooo much

The rule I go buy is that your finger should be dirty if you wipe the inside, but there should be nothing you can pour out. A film of oil is alright, anything I would call wet is probably signs of problems.

okay cool. Me MakoDhardie and Stokekxiv will be taking the IC out either today or tomorrow so what if there is a puddle of oil in the IC? Does that = single turbo? Or A-spec twin??

Mine run a little oily and has been for 3+ years. Still spools just fine and the boost is dead on. The hose is oily but does not run out...
