Exclamation Oil Gauge

My Oil gauge recently stopped working. I looked under the hood today and noticed a snapped wire. The wire had come out of the male part of the connector and the female was still there. It was coming off of the oil pump air so I thought it might be to my Oil gauge. I grabbed some wire and hooked it back together (ghetto style) thinking that it might fix it. But it still does not work. When I cut the car on the red light in the oil gauge comes on but the needle does not move at all.

If anyone has any pictures of where the wiring for the oil gauge is, coming off of the pump, please post them. Or if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix it please let me know.

Thanks

I don have a pic but look right under the trottle body elbow close to firewall (drivers side), that's where the oil filter is and the oil press. sender should be under it very close to the spark plugs

Ok I found were it was disconnected, I tried to reconnect it by placing a wire into the part of the connector closest to the spark plugs and it didn't work, so i spliced into both wires and joined them together with a wire clamp and it still does not work. Does anyone have any idea where it may be disconnected at besides near the oil filter or why it stopped working?
