Question Where did you run your vaccum hose for your boost gauge?

Where did you run your vaccum hose for your boost gauge? I couldn't find a place in the firewall (I'm working with a small flashlight in parking garage) to run it through w/o drilling into it. I was thinking of using the hole that the hood release cable runs through, but that wouldn't work, as that hole is too small as well. Thanks for the help.

Use the part where the steering wheel gimmick goes to the engine bay. Just make a tiny hole in the surrounding rubber. Oh ya don't use soft silicone use the plastic hard shiat that should have come with the gauge. Once you've gone through the firewall then you can use some silicone cause the hard plastic will get old fast with heat and crack.

its always good to verify your boost with another gauge quickly hooked up with a hose running under the hood through the window just to make sure...

My car had a grommet down on the drivers side of the firewall that had some room to run the line through, thats where mine went.

I would like to do that, but I have a giant black box on top of that.

911GT, on that grommet, was there any other lines running through it?

It's just the cruise control. It's only 2 maybe three bolts. Just move it out of the way and run your wires.

I ended up taking Damian's advice on looping it through the hood release cable hole, which worked quite well. I have an 11-9-11 boost pattern (cold day), and ~18hg/in vaccum.:-D

Hi,

Glad you got it hooked up. You will have to show me how it looks.

Yeah, the fitment wasn't *too* great, as it wasn't the RE column mount. For $90, though, I really complain.
