Oil drain pipe hitting connector after OMP adapter install

I installed an OMP adapter on my freshly built engine. So it goes between the OEM OMP and the front cover, setting the OEM OMP back out.

On the OMP is an electrical connector facing down. After the install of the OMP adapter the connector is just above the connection of the oil drain pipe from the twins and the little pipe connecting it to the front cover.

Anyone got an easy fix for this or some ingenious solution?

Many thanks

I rotate the electromagnet housing around so the wires exit away from the turbos and the heat .To do this you must do some cutting inside the omp and drill and tap new holes for some of the screws holding the housing to its mount .I have done this mod for several others maybe they can expiain it better or give you a picture .

That's basically the only way you can do it. The holes for that cover he mentioned are in a non-symmetrical pattern. There is no easy tweak that doesn't hack up the OMP.

After looking at the options I decided I would just leave it alone and do a supplemental pre-mix rather than butcher my OMP.

Drilling and tapping two small holes is not butchering .I do not butcher customers parts nor my own .

there is another way. if you get a spare oil drain line you can unsolder the flange and resolder on one of the other ones on so it will fit correctly without clocking the pump conector. I can't remember exactly what parts combo worked, but thats what I did for mine. if you heat it up with an oxy acetylene torch it comes right apart, and just solder the other flange on there with silver solder and flux.

clocking the connector is fine too, it just depends on whats easier for you.

you use another drain line, and take it apart. using the pieces you can make up a drain line with enough clearance so the pump will fit. I can't remember exactly, maybe it was the line from the other turbo, but I know I had to desolder a flange and resolder another one on there, but it was all done with stock pieces.
