There are a few good aftermarket dual oil cooler kits out there. Rotor-sports, SakeBomb garage, and RE-Extreme all sell good kits. There's also the cheaper way using a used stock driver side oil cooler. Here's a thread on Howard Coleman's DIY oil cooler upgrade using the driver side cooler.

We are gearing up for another GB on our oil cooler kits right now. If you're interested you can add your name to the list on the last page

Why do you think you need upgraded oil coolers though? Will you be tracking your car? The stock R1 coolers work very well as long as the fins aren't all mangled and no one has removed the stock ducts.

You could always source the parts for your own dual oil cooler setup and save a few bucks. BUT, if it isn't worth the little savings (and you really don't save much) the SakeBomb kits have are very complete, great quality parts, and they have good customer service. I believe they are also less expensive than most other kits available as well..

If you go the DIY route get Setrab oil coolers. I've had bad luck with Mocals.

got to the vendor thread and theres a group buy for SakeBomb garage oil cooler kit. theres a few spots left. I'm doing an oil cooler upgrade on my FD and after doing a lot of searching and listening to some recommendations, I'm going with the sb kit.

Mostly becuse the car is 17 years old and running o/e oil cooler system. If stock works well, should i just buy a new factory spec one?

Thanks for all the help guys. Looking forward to getting my hands dirty

if stock works well (duals and they do) you should not buy new ones and upgrade something else.

Do you have factory dual coolers or just a single cooler on the drivers side? At minimum I'd recommend upgrading to R1 (dual oil coolers). Are the fins bent up? If you don't plan on racing heavily our 19 row dual oil cooler kit should be more then sufficient for your needs; but it would be helpful if you told us what the goal for your car is.
