Oil coming out of bov

So I just put in a new turbo and I'm seeing oil residue on the ic pipe where the bov vents. Is this common?

It looks like you either have a bad oil seal in the turbo, to large of a feed line or to small of a drain.

The oil feed line has the restricter in it and the drain pipe is the same one I used on the last turbo. I probably will call BNR tomorrow to talk to them about it.

It sounds like to me that you have a bad oil seal, but you will want to confirm which restricter you should be using.

Engine oil seal or turbo oil seal? The turbo is brand new only about 20 miles on it.

What turbo is it? What size restrictor? The newer bb units require very little oil, .065 is pretty standard. Some take smaller restrictors. If you went from journal to be you definitely need a smaller restrictors for sure. What size drain? -10 is what most shops recommend.

Problem solved. My cousin capped a little tube we thought was nothing but turned out to be the crank case ventilation. This that closed up the pressure was so much that it had no where to escape except through the turbo. Uncapped the hose and no more smoke or oil
