A/C with no PS idler pulley
I removed the PS pump from my 94 FD, but since I live in the south and my wife likes to ride with me on occasion(do this if you don't already, it makes things easier) I wanted to keep the A/C. My car has the stacked eshaft pulley, with a dedicated front belt/pulley for PS/AC.
The issue is that with the smooth idler after you remove the PS there is no way to properly tension the A/C belt. I did not want to force on a belt with no adjustment that was not a good fit, so wanted a vdrive pulley to go in place of the stock smooth one to go across the top with the belt.
I searched around some and saw some suggestions, but nothing that really looked like a good solution. I've been working with a local alternator shop(Gene's Alternator in Greenville SC) that has been helping me with machining and some other things, and asked them to look at it since they spend a lot of time with random pulleys.
Quickly they resolved this, to a direct fit pulley from a tensioner off of a GM(Yukon maybe?) that fits precisely and will allow me to tension a shorter belt for the AC only. Pics below, I will update once I have fitted to the car and gotten the correct shorter belt.

Nice job! You might be able to cut some of the excess aluminum from the PS mount on that bracket to save a little weight .
So you just get that tensioner, pull the pulley off, and bolt it on?

Thanks Dale!
I can eat 10 less wings on Fridays too and still have somewhere to relo something to later jk, I fully support weight reduction
Yep, fits right on there, although they had done it when I got back by to them. I pulled it apart, looks like the GM pulley needs a washer behind it to get the offset right, the bearing is a little farther in than our stock one.
