Oil changes
Good question. I think that there will be several opinions on this one, but my non-factual statement will be. If the oil is clean and not low, go for another 500-700 miles, other wise change it. Too bad you chose such an expensive oil. Just changing dyno oil every 2k is more than enough in my opinion. Again, non-factual.
They give both time and mileage limits for oil because the oil becomes acidic as it sits in the crankcase. However, it seems like synthetic oil usually comes with no such time limit, so perhaps it is more stable and becomes acidic less quickly. I think you'd be fine to use the oil for another 1500 miles.

Do you enjoy wasting money? If so, please paypal me some. Changing your oil every 500 miles is like changing your condom with every stroke when you're with a lady...totally uncessary. Even dino-juice is good in our cars for 2000+ miles per change. If your car consumes a noticeable amount, you can probably go a bit longer, assuming that you're adding more as you lose it.

yes mobil does make a non syenthetic. i work at kragen and see it everyday. as far as changing your oil every five hundred miles...that all depends on how long its been in there. my buddy drives his like maybe 3-500 miles per month, if that. i know he has changed it twice in the past 6 months. just a good idea to change it if it sits. max beat me to it, but oil does become acidic if it sits. not a good idea to run that. when in doubt like anything just change it. if you dont have the money, you shouldnt have gone to such an expensive brand.
