Remans and rotor housings are on national backorder until August (?). Mazda was falling behind on Renesis motors apparently.

Advice: Don't blow a motor this summer!

Remans are on backorder and from what I heard they discontinued the program, but not sure. We were waiting on a couple and decided to build them instead of wait. Housings are also hard to get.

Ouch, if true that really sucks. 3mm seals, and v8 converted cars are going to get really popular.

^ yeah, I think i'll drop a 13B turbo in to a 69 Stingray and post it on the Corvette forum. It's over 30 years old so there won't be any smog restrictions.

A 20B powered stingray would be pretty sweet IMHO, and a sleeper too, since they're normally prety damn slow.

^ never heard of that. My receipt shows one year. I'd like to see that, since I don't beleive it. But then, I still wouldn't buy another rebuilt direct from Mazda again.

OK, so let me ask a clarifying question because this is shocking news....

This could mean no more replacement reman engines??? Only way to go would be to rebuild your engine? If so, don't you need new rotor housings with that?

Yes, kinda a noob question but *knock on wood* I haven't had to delve into that info much.

That is the rumor I heard but I dont know how true it is. If that is the case then you would have to order a motor from a shop that builds them. Thats not a big deal but that will drive the price up of a basic rebuild and take longer to get. Only real problem right now is the shortage of rotor housings which could lead to people waiting months to get a new motor.
