noob needing knowledge about boost and IC
Hey Landon, got home not long ago and just saw this....
Sounds like you've got some air in the system which causes the boiling sound. Not uncommon, but I still recommend you flush the cooling system as we spoke and get that temperature gauge installed...soon. That's the only way of knowing if it's running (too) hot.
Some other things to consider re: the cooling system is an "FC Thermoswitch" https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...6&highlight=FC This will turn the fans on at 95 C. instead of the stock 108 C. Not particularly hard to install and much safer.
And here is that link I mentioned (also from DaleClark) about installing the sensor for whatever temp gauge you end up getting: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...highlight=temp (post #36 has the list of fittings).
Good luck.

Hey Jim glad you made it home. Yea I posted that before you came so I just burped the system really good and I fix my problems not running as hot and no funny noises. Thank you for the links. Also I looked a little closer at my TB and the cable is not the problem. Its like the spring actually ON the TB seems to be sticking its kind of grimy and I read that I shouldn't lube it because that can promote more grime. So you have any Ideas? Could I just clean it really good with some carb cleaner or something? Oh and where the heck can I get a PFs IC? lol I think you told me, but I forgot. Thanks again and it was really good seeing ya.
Your cable seemed just a little tight to me, but if loosening it didn't solve the problem I guess that could be something to look at.
When you had the intake elbow off, did you notice any varnish around the butterflies maybe? It wouldn't take much to bind up. Try using some carb cleaner around the spring. If that doesn't help, pull the elbow and shoot some carb cleaner in and around the butterflies to make sure they're free and seal properly.
