Non-seq and setting up Profec-b
Non-seq and setting up Profec-b
Non-seq is working great! No spikes and it builds boost gradually up to redline, but seems to tap out at 8-9psi now, when going seq it was 12-8-10(before solenoid probs). I hear that a boost guage may no longer give accurate readings when going non-sequential, which makes little sense but makes me wonder why I'm getting 9psi now.
The reason I'm asking is that I'm installing a profec-b today and don't want to pop the motor calibrating it for high/low boost modes because readings are now off in non-seq mode. Do I run the 3rd gear/hill to redline just like with sequential profec tuning and tweak it?
Thanks!

I am having similar problems. I will get a full 15psi but as soon as i shift, no matter what gear, boost will drop to 12-13psi and bounce around.
I have switched between the pre-control and wastegate solenoids and I get the same thing it never changes.
Any ideas?

line swapping? I'm gonna bridge the stepping motor between the turbo-to-wastegate line and cap off the second actuator line as specified. Luckily the Profec-b defaults to 7psi when turned off so it's a good starting point.

whoa whoa whoa....forget the profec for a minute. It's not even in the picture right now.
You say to swap the harness plugs around under the pressure tank now when going non-seq? I plugged them back the way they were factory after capping off the LEFT solenoid pre-control lines, with the wastegate harness(has a silver/white tag on it on the harness plugging into the RIGHT solenoid with the white dot)still connected.
Hoses are plugged correctly, but now you say swap the female connectors around on the green solenoids?
FYI..Before Profec-b it was OEM TCA/Charge control solenoid-controlled. Stock that is.
