Question No Boost With Remapped Ecu

I have a friend who has a remapped ecu. I believe it is from petitt racing. He says that with his mods. dp mb full exhaust and air intake. The car will make 0 boost. Is this possiable that the car will make no boost with a remapped ECU?

Thanks

He's got some other problem. Even if the ECU were to have some issue where it limited boost as much as possible, it would be about 7 psi. Closing the duty solenoid 100% would cause set boost at wastegate spring pressure.

Does it feel like there's boost? It could be that something's wrong with the gauge or it was hooked up incorrectly...

If it doesnt feel like there is boost, the problem more than likely lies in the rats nest. Check for cracked hoses.

After installing the ECU seems like car is making little or know boost
The gauge is hooked up to the extra nipple on the intake manifold.

Thank you,

So sometimes it'll make a little bit of boost? Sounds like a cracked intercooler pipe.

I went to my friends tonight and took his car for a ride sure enough 0 boost on the gauge. Gets a good vacume reading when I got on the car right up to 0 on the gauge and stayed there.. I can here the turbos spool up but it seems like no boost the car never really pulls hard.. Where is the best place to hook up the boost gauge to. I want to be sure it is working right and that we get a accurate reading... Right now he has a autometer boost gauge and it is hooked up to the nipple on the intake manifold. any ideas.
The car was running fine and making boost up until he put this remapped ecu in.

Thanks,
Craig K

If it doesn't feel like its making boost the gauge is probably not lying. Does it make any "interesting" sounds when it should be making boost, like extra loud whooshing? Someone mentioned an intercooler pipe split...that can cause no boost, but usually not exactly 0, and it is accompanied by the whooshing sounds usually.

I seriously doubt it is the ECU, but the obvious way to prove that is to put the stocker back in and see what happens.

just wanted to thank you guys for the input. Started looking around and I found the problem. The little pice of rubber tub that goes from the turbo to the intercooler pipe was split in half...fixed and now have 12 pounds of boost on gauge with profec b on low...
Thanks again.
