Need some Hlp (limp mode and compression #s)

I was checking out this FD and they said the cars in Limp mode on the stock ECU. Checking compression numbers with universal compression checker i got 60ish on front housing and 72ish on rear housing with all three even bounces on each. The battery seemed very low also. Does the engine numbers seem alright wit weak battery and limp mode and all? I also notice some white smoke for like 5-10 sec on start up but its been sitting for like a long *** time. Wells give me some feedback guys.

I am still an RX7 noob , so take this at face value.

If the car has been sitting for a while seeing some smoke isnt horrible , but the smoke from the car being idle for a while should be black , which would indicate an excess of fuel , or the engine running slightly rich.

With white smoke usually this is caused by failing coolant seals. What does the smoke smell like , if it has a somewhat sweet smell it is definaley coolant.

From what I understand those compression numbers seem awfully low. Anything between 75-80 indicates that the motor is getting tired and will need a rebuild soon.

The compression test numbers should be adjusted against RPM during the test. If a good compression tester was used, the numbers should read true.

If these are uncorrected numbers, yes they will increase if cranked at higher RPM. The question is, how much slower was it cranking? I wouldn't take a chance with an assumption.

As for the smoke, come back the next day and see if the startup smoke happens again.

^ with Dave,
When a car sits for awile condensation build in the exhaust (which happens in most cases over night any way) so lack of coolant smell is a +, car sitting for awhile will typically yeild low numbers any way and in some cases require ATF to help the seal "seal"better just to get it to start, get a good charge on the battery and try again, you can also add a little ATF and turn it over then see if the numbers pick up.

mine to sometimes have white smoke after i start my car... almost everyday but it gone off after like a minute or so....
didn't notice a single droplet of my coolant disappearing....
some say that i have my oil in my turbo that is causing the oil to burn and white smoke puffs out at high RPM.
don't know if htat's true
