need some advice in upgrading.

Ok I already have a blitz intake,blitz catback,downpipe and greddy profecB spec2.
Heres what im looking for as far as modifications
I would like to convert the car to a 5 speed tranny.
So if anyone knows of a good place to get this done please point me in the right direction. This in itself should increase power output by decrasing drivetrain loss.
I would like to build the most reliable engine I can while maintaining the stock sequential setup for quick boost response. What size seals are best for say 15 psi or more.Ive read that the 2mm are more fragile but seal better and that the 3mm ones can withstand detonation better but dont seal as well.
What im basically looking for is a nice street machine that handles well and has the best possible low end torque. So no porting for me as porting decrases low end while increasing top end.Thats not for me.
Im not sure how much boost you can run on the stock injectors safely but im thinking around 15 psi.If this is so then I guess my boost will be limited to 15 psi for obvious reasons.can you run 15 psi on the twins reliably? Also can a blitz fmic handle 15 psi? I dont see why not

for the tranny where are you located?.....i got my tranny and accessories from MazdaRecycling and they gave me a pretty good deal and all the necessary components for the swap...i also bought a rebuilt engine from them...but the engine isnt in the car yet so i dont know how thats going to go....if you want to go with stock sequential at a high boost i would recommend gothamracing.com and go for one of their staged upgrades...im getting the stage 3 upgrades from them and the last i heard someone pulled 490hp at 5krpm...it was nonsequential but i think it would be worth it seeing as how it kicks in at about 2500-3krpm.

im located in colorado. As for the stock twins.Im interested in perhaps getting them rebuilt and running 15 psi for spirited driving and maybe 10 to 12 psi on regular drives. Can they handle 15 psi? I believe so.If im wrong please let me know.Im basically looking for the most cost effective and practical setup.I can get a set of twins rebuilt for under a grand which is fine by me.Im looking at spending maybe 2 to 3 grand on a good rebuild. Can the stock motor sustain 15 psi on stock internals as long as there is enough fuel for the air?

For being a member of the forum for over a year, you're asking some pretty basic questions that casual research should answer.

1. Your fuel system will run out at 14 psi or less with those mods, assuming a safe a/f ratio.

2. A streetport will not necessarily kill low end.

3. As far as 3mm vs 2mm seals go, find a good engine rebuider and do what they tell you. The debate on those seals will never be resolved.

4. The FMIC vs V-mount or SMIC debate also rages on, but no one can dispute that an FMIC has more lag than either of the other two setups (longer piping).

5. What ecu are you looking to run?

EDIT:

6. $2-3k will NOT get you a good rebuild.

at one point or another I managed to find the answer. But I forgot some of the info.So I wanted to compile a basic plan of attack and go with it.
Here are my planned mods.
Blitz fmic and fluidine radiator,Apex power fc,effiny y pipe, rebuild engine and stock twins, auto to 5 speed swap.
I know theres been ongoing debates over the two categories pertaining to go with either 2mm or 3mm.Same with the smic versus fmic. The reason im going to go with the blitz fmic is that ,one it has shorter piping than the rest of the fmic, its not a true fmic in the sense that it sits farther back therfore protecting it better, its thicker than the greddy and also everyone that ran the blitz did not experience overheating issues. So this little dilemma is solved already. As for the seals on the engine rebuild. There are many choices indeed.A while back I was going to go with 3mm iannettis. But ive found that they arent neccesarily the best out there.I read somehwhere about some kind of aviation apex seals that are supposed to be way stronger than anything else on the market.I wonder why they dont have titanium apex seals? Dont they make a whole lot of high performance parts for piston engines out of titanium?
The reason I asked about the stock fuel system is that I just recently replaced my injectors with blitz units.550 and 850cc injectors. So I was trying to not have to go through the headaches of changine out injectors once again.I figured that if I was running a aftermarket ecu I could turn up the injector duty cycle.Let me know rynberg what you think about my input.Thanx again.I know everyone gets tired of answering repetitive questions. But I had way more questions than just one.Thanx again guys.

you'll also have to do something about the intakes - as, AFAIK they won't work (as is) with a fmic.

yeah I thought about that.I figure that I can shorten the hard pipes a bit in order to make them fit.
