Need help with rebuild!!

Hi everyone. As some of you may know I've got my 7 down at KDR right now. Originally, Dave was supposed to replace the bad coolant seal(s), but now I've got bigger problems. The rotor housings and side steel housings are not reusable. Rotor housings were badly scored, and the side steel housings were about 2 thousandths out of tolerance. What I am wondering is where can I get a set of decent set of the side steel housings? I've already found the rotor housings. I checked ebay, but had no luck there. Is there anywhere else to find the side steel housings?? Dave said it was hit and miss buying a remanned motor, so I'd really rather not drop that kind of money and then have it turn out to be a bad motor. He said all the internals are reusable, but the housings are shot. Thanks in advance for any help!

If you don't want to buy new, your best bet is to talk to current engine rebuilders or Japan2LA here on the forum to see what they have laying around.

There were several sets of irons up for sale in the classifieds section a few weeks ago. Did you look there?

Thanks for the info Mahjik. I did not see the ads several weeks ago, as I just found out tonight that I need new housings.
