I forget what it is. But its pretty common and nothing to worry about IIRC.

It looks like goo to me...

I had the same **** in my old NA. You can go to speedy or jiffy lube and they can flush the system for around 75 bucks.

That's a relief, I was hoping it wasn't oil. Time to flush the coolant.

It could very likely be oil however it is nothing to worry about.

Flushing your coolant is always a good idea but don't neglect to clean your overflow tank or better just buy a new one.

yep its normal. our cars are 20+ years old..
Just think if you ran coolant though an engine...poured the used coolant into a container - leave it to sit for anywhere from a couple of hours to couple of months...pour old coolant back into engine..run engine...repeat...change all the coolant every year or two..or five..

How do you think that container would look after 20+ years?
