It's not capable of holding boost while taking the heat. It will split again in no time.
I recommend 2.75" silicone or cut a straight Heavy Duty 18 Wheeler radiator hose to size.

Or get a 99 spec ‘y’ pipe and never have to mess with the coupler. MAZDA even figured out that a coupler there wasn’t...ideal.
