it is "dark titanium metallic". a stock color for Mazda on the Tribute. The car has all 99spec parts and Apex side skirts. 18'' Volk Te 37 with suspension mods. I am going to pull the motor this winter to paint the engine bay. Not looking forward to it...

dark titanium metallic,
stock color on the 03 Mazda Tribute, yea a truck.
I am having the seats re-covered this winter in a black with a gray inserts. Pretty much like the RX8 seats.
P.S. The color is also known as "dark shadow gray" on the Ford Escape. Titanium sounds cooler though.

donny!
very nice...I am in the process of doing the same...
why did you decided to strip and paint the whole interior??? to make sure nothing shows?
what are you plans for the engine?
The painter decided to paint the engine bay first then send it back to the engine builder so he wouldn't scratch any of that new paint! I am in the process of getting the engine reinstalled.
NICE JOB!

I painted everything that was red, I did not want any red to be found. I even pulled heat shields and parts from under the car to undercoat over all the old color.
I had to gut the interior anyway to die all the tan panels black and to replace the tan carpet with new black carpet.
As far as the motor goes, I know I am going to go single (TO4S). I had the Apexi kit on my last FD, but I want a little more power this time. I plan on polishing as many parts as I can and going with blue accents (vacuum lines, pulleys, maybe even converting to AN fittings) I might even try to move some of the fuse boxes to try and hide them or at least group them together better and make or have made a fiberglass/plastic cover to hide them.
